Weches: Surviving as a Settler!

November 27, 2016 - 10:00am to 11:00am

No electricity? No grocery stores? No running water? How did they survive? Let’s step back in time to the early 1800’s to explore what life was like on the frontier of early Texas. Join a park ranger to discuss the daily life of early Texas settlers and compare it with the daily life of our modern families during this one hour program.
Meet: At the Rice Family Home behind park headquarters.
Bring: Drinking water and dress for the weather.
All programs are free, there is a $2.00 park entry fee for all 13 years and older. We are located on Hwy 21 between Alto and Crockett, please call 936-687-2394 with any questions.
