Weches: Mission Tejas State Park Annual Folk Festival

April 27, 2019 - 10:00am to 3:00pm
Pioneer Life

Celebrate Spring in 2019 by joining us at Mission Tejas State Park for our 14th annual Folk Festival!

Explore the festival grounds beneath the pines while enjoying 19th century music, learn about the skills and trades that helped frontier Texans survive and thrive, interact with knowledgeable presenters that bring history to life, and of course help support your local state park simply by having fun with us! There is no better or more engaging way to learn about history than to see folks revive these days of our past right in front of your eyes. There is fun to be had for the whole family, with folks from both inside and outside TPWD hosting a slew of activities for all ages--- including our Atlatl range! Many of the presenters offer unique, handcrafted goods that you’d be hard pressed to find elsewhere without a time machine. Try your luck at our raffle to win some one of a kind items and bid on special silent auction items, with all proceeds going to our non-profit volunteer support group--- the Friends of Mission Tejas!
