Do you know how far the roots of you family tree extend? The Harrison County Historical Museum will help you find out at their two-day workshop, "Digging Into Your Roots," set for April 26-27 at the 1901 Harrison County Courthouse in Marshall. The workshop is designed for beginners or those wanting to learn more about genealogy research.
On the first day, Diane L. Giannini, well-respected certified genealogist, will give four lectures helping participants find their family history. On the second day, participants will spend time researching and then will prepare the beginnings of a slideshow or scrapbook to tell their family story.
Registration is underway. Deadline for registration is April 14. The $90 fee includes lunch and a take-home resource workbook. The workshop benefits the museum's children's programs. More information can be found at harrisoncountymuseum.org or by calling 903-935-8417 Ext. 1.
